Christmas Day
What an amazing day. Both boys slept in this morning. Ian woke happy and calm. Nothing seemed to transfer from last night so it remains a mystery what happened. So, we had a wonderful morning together. Then took both Ian and Lane out for a walk on the trail. We were out for 2 hours and Ian loved the experience of being with the family and seeing the wind in the trees, walk through the grassy path covered with fall leaves. He seemed very happy and continues to be calm, mellow and happy this evening. Not much stimming. Interesting that the stimming seems to decrease when he's had outside time discovering new environments in nature. I took many photos and you can view them by Click to view photos.

Can you explain "stimming"?
ReplyDeleteDear No Sleep, Stimming is also known as self-stimulatory behavior. This repetitive behavior can involve one or up to five senses at once. I found a more detailed explanation at http://www.autism-help.org/behavior-stimming-autism.htm
